Identify the brace as installed
Photograph the brace within the complete bay before removal when permitted by site procedures. Note whether it runs horizontally or diagonally, the connection location, ring or label markings, and the frame or bay context.
Use exact-number records
Nominal length alone is insufficient. The catalog preserves distinct horizontal, diagonal, SPAN 400, V-X, and bracing-frame pathways because geometry and documented relationships differ.
