1. Our accessibility commitment
Upright Scaffold seeks to make website product information, technical resources, quote tools, and support pathways usable by people with disabilities. Accessibility is an ongoing effort involving design, content, development, testing, and remediation rather than a one-time certification.
We work to improve accessibility and aim to follow recognized accessibility practices, including WCAG 2.2 Level AA where reasonably applicable. This statement does not claim perfect, permanent, or “100% ADA compliant” operation.
2. Design and development practices
Current practices include semantic headings and landmarks, a skip link, keyboard-operable navigation, visible focus indicators, meaningful link text, labeled form controls, accessible status regions, responsive layouts, text alternatives, contrast-conscious colors, resizable text, touch-friendly controls, and reduced-motion support. Critical content is not intentionally hidden behind animation or interaction.
WCAG 2.2 adds considerations including focus visibility, minimum target size, consistent help, avoiding unnecessary repeated entry, and accessible authentication. These considerations inform continued review where applicable to the website.
3. Assistive technology and user settings
The website is intended to work with current browsers, keyboard navigation, screen readers, zoom, text resizing, high-contrast preferences, and reduced-motion settings. Results may vary with browser, device, assistive technology, extensions, and unsupported legacy software.
Visitors should be able to zoom mobile pages without the site disabling browser scaling. Menus expose button state, form fields have programmatic labels, and status messages use appropriate live or status regions where implemented.
4. Documents, media, and third-party content
Some source PDFs and third-party documents may have accessibility limitations inherited from their original creation. Document landing pages provide accessible HTML context where available, but the original document may still be needed for complete technical or safety information. Contact us to request reasonable assistance or an alternative format.
Third-party websites, carrier portals, manufacturer documents, and externally hosted tools are controlled by their providers. We encourage accessibility but cannot guarantee their operation. Captions or transcripts should be provided for meaningful media if such media is added.
5. Continuous review
Accessibility review includes keyboard navigation, focus visibility, heading order, form labels and errors, link purpose, image alternatives, placeholder-image descriptions, contrast, mobile zoom, target size, menu state, dialogs, accordions, skip navigation, reduced motion, and downloadable documents. Automated checks are useful but do not replace manual or assistive-technology testing.
Known issues are prioritized according to user impact, frequency, technical feasibility, and safety or transaction significance.
6. Request assistance or report a problem
If content or functionality is difficult to use, contact Upright Scaffold through the process below. Include the page URL, a description of the problem, the browser or assistive technology used when comfortable sharing it, and the preferred format or method of assistance. Do not include unnecessary sensitive information.
We will review accessibility feedback and respond within a reasonable period based on the nature and complexity of the request. Alternative assistance may include help locating information, completing an inquiry, or obtaining a document in another reasonably available format.
